Why is it important to have Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance?

In today’s litigious society, no professional bookkeeper can ignore the real possibility that a claim may be brought against them by a disgruntled client during the course of their career. In addition a bookkeeper working from home or as a contractor will not be covered under any household policy and will generally be excluded from commercial insurance covers as maintained by clients. To obtain professional level inside AAPB you will need Professional Indemnity Insurance.
